NFL Fans Rejoiced at Report Cowboys Were Mercifully Trying to Lure Jason Witten Out of MNF BoothBy 12Up

Jason Witten has been absolutely disaster this season as a commentator for Monday Night Football, so when Jason Garrett and the Cowboys reached out and asked him to come out of retirement, many thought it was the perfect opportunity for him to leave the booth in a much more graceful manner.

Unfortunately for fans, Witten refused the Cowboys offer, but that doesn't mean that fans have given up on the matter.

Fans everywhere have been calling for Witten to leave the booth and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

While Jason Garrett was obviously working in the Cowboys' best interest some believed he may have been trying to get the tight end out of the booth for audiences' sake.

Witten did end up responding with a hard no to the Cowboys' offer, but I like this explanation a lot better.

Despite all of the hate he's gotten, at least somebody has Witten's back (not really).

Should Witten abandon the booth to return to the football field? For his sake absolutely not, but for the sake of audiences everywhere and the Dallas Cowboys, Witten should be back catching touchdowns by next Sunday.
