Srinagar, Oct. 22 -- Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Bijebihara massacre is 'a blot on the face of Indian democracy and a cruel reminder if it's military occupation on Jammu Kashmir'.

While remembering 22 October Bijebihara martyrs, Malik in a statement issued to KNs said "Kashmiris are fighting for their birth right of self-determination and freedom."

A JKLF delegation comprising district president Mohammad Ishaq Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmad Kuchay, Showkat Ahmad Gatoo and Shabir Rather reached Bijebihara and participated in a congregational prayers meeting held for slain Bijebihara persons at their graveyard in Bijebihara.

Terming Bijebihara massacre as 'a reminder of Indian military oppression in Jammu Kashmir', JKLF leaders said that "from 1947 till now more than Lakhs of Kashmiris have been martyred by forces of evil and military occupation. Massacres at Jammu, Srinagar, Sopore, Handwara, Sailan Poonch, Bederwah, Bijebihara, and Islamabad, Gawkadal, Zakoora, Batmaloo Bypass and other places are actually a blot on the face of biggest democracy of India which has chosen to suppress the peaceful voices of people of Jammu Kashmir by military might and oppression."

"The ongoing killing spree of which yesterday's Kulgam Massacre was also a part, these massacres and failure of Indian democracy and the internal national community in penalizing the murderous and deliver justice to the victims is actually a criminal and a reminder of Indian military occupation of Jammu Kashmir, its tyrannical behavior against humans and the failure of the international community in delivering justice to the people of Jammu Kashmir," they said.

They said that leaders said that "despite of these gruesome oppressive measures Indians have failed to stop our march towards freedom and with Allah's grace and help this blood soaked resistance movement will achieve its desired goal soon Insha'Allah." (KNS)
