India, Sept. 23 -- A 65-year-old man died while his son escaped with injuries after a wall of their house collapsed while sleeping at Saiyad Semra village under Sukhi Sewania police station area late in the night on Thursday.

According to the police, two persons were injured after a wall collapsed at Saiyad Semra village and were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital where one the injured was declared dead.

The deceased was identified as Shyamlal Ahirwar while the injured was identified as Omprakash Ahirwar. The injured is reportedly stable. Body was sent for the post mortem and the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.

During the investigation police found that due to heavy rainfall one of the walls of the house was damaged and when the deceased and his son were asleep the wall collapsed and the two got trapped inside the debris.

Meanwhile depressed over weak financial conditions a 42-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Barkheda Pathani under Govindpura police station area on Thursday.

Police said that Rubi Devi was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased was facing financial problems and used to have frequent fights with her husband and dejected over the frequent fights she committed suicide.

No suicide note has been found and reason behind the suicide would be revealed in the further investigation.
