Ahmedabad, Dec 13 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday staged a protest in front of the Congress office in the city and demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi after Other Backward Class leader and Congress candidate Alpesh Thakor said Prime Minister Narendra Modi became fair after eating mushroom imported from Taiwan.
Delhi BJP Spokesperson Tajinder Bagga, who was leading the protest, told UNI, “Day after day, Congress leaders are insulting the prime minister, which is not a good signal for a healthy democracy. We have come here to give roses to the Congress leaders and say ‘Get Well Soon’.”
The protestors were holding red roses and placards written “Get well soon” and raised slogans like 'don’t use mean words' as Gujarat is the land of Gandhiji.
