Kylie Jenner’s BFF Yris Palmer opened up this month on her YouTube channel about motherhood. The 29-year-old entrepreneur is one of the only girlfriends of the makeup mogul who is also a mom. Yris discussed the struggles of being a working mom in the episode, and also let fans in on her pregnancy story.

In the video above, the Star Lash Extensions founder does the interview in P.Js with her two-year-old daughter, Ayla. She shares that her pregnancy was unexpected, and that she and her husband, Staforde, were only married for a year when they found out they were expecting.

After a tough pregnancy, including losing 15 pounds in the first few months due to “morning sickness,” Ayla arrived and changed Yris’ world. Yris revealed, “I feel like I had a hard time adjusting to being a new mom, only because it really really changes your life. It not only changes your life; it changes your body…it changes everything.”

Though she had some difficulty adjusting, she eventually found her rhythm. She does admit that, as a working mother, she still deals with “mom-guilt,” but she tries to remind herself that all her hard work is for Ayla. Yris begins tearing up as she says:

“I’m hustling and I’m doing all of this for her and I hope one day she looks back and she’s like, ‘I want to be just like my mom.’ It makes me emotional because I feel like that is one of my goals in life…to make sure my daughter looks up to me.”
