3 Teams That Can Save a Lackluster Offseason by Signing Nicholas CastellanosBy 12Up

This has been a wild MLB offseason during which some teams have spent a fortune and others have sat quietly, causing fans to lose their minds in more ways than one. Both big and small market teams have held out of the free agency festivities, but there's still have time to make a move and make up for the inactivity.

Outfielder Nicholas Castellanos is one of the best players still available and three teams should make an attempt to sign him to save their lackluster offseasons.

3. Cleveland Indians

The Cleveland Indians traded away Corey Kluber and have yet to use the extra money to sign a new player. Fans are hoping the team re-signs Yasiel Puig, but that doesn't appear to be happening. Signing Castellanos would give the Indians an everyday slugging outfielder with experience. That is a major upgrade over the likes of Jordan Luplow, Greg Allen and Tyler Naquin.

2. Colorado Rockies

The biggest story surrounding the Colorado Rockies this offseason has been the team fracturing its relationship with Nolan Arenado. Colorado could use some outfield help even with Charlie Blackmon and David Dahl as starters. Castellanos could come to town and play in left, replacing Raimel Tapia after a -0.9 WAR season in 2019. The Rockies are supposed to contend with Arenado in town and the addition of Castellanos would help that cause.

1. St. Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals have been relatively quiet this offseason considering they already have a playoff roster, but losing Marcell Ozuna is going to hurt regardless of what many thought of his impact. Signing Castellanos would give the team a much more reliable option over Tyler O'Neill and could help manager Mike Schildt switch around personnel in the outfield. Adding the 27-year-old to the middle of their lineup would go a long way for the Cards and certainly make fans happy.
