The Pittsburgh Steelers will welcome center Maurkice Pouncey back to their 53-man roster on Wednesday after he served a two-game suspension for the role that he played in the massive brawl with the Cleveland Browns back in Week 10.

As expected, Pouncey did not remain silent after his return, and his long-awaited first set of quotes included the assertion that Mason Rudolph did NOT utter a racial slur in the direction of Myles Garrett to instigate the melee, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

That certainly says a lot, but did we really expect Pouncey to come out and not back the quarterback he defended by repeatedly kicking Garrett?

There's simply no way to determine if Garrett's accusations are true or not without using the technology the NFL has supposedly put in place to pick up on such interactions.

One could make the case that Garrett implicated Rudolph as a desperate plea to have his suspension reduced and point the blame in the direction of the Steelers, and Pouncey is clearly taking that side of the argument.

Essentially, this has all become a classic case of he said, he said.

One thing is for certain, however, and it's that Pouncey's disdain for Garrett became even more emboldened after learning that he accused his QB of unleashing a racial profanity.
