San Antonio Spurs Preview

Spurs have earned their third straight win as they defeated the Rockets in their last match. Spurs entered Wednesday tied for ninth in the Western Conference standings with the Suns and Grizzlies. To earn the ninth spot and make the play-in game, they need a win along with two of the Phoenix, Portland and Memphis trio to lose. On Friday, Spurs defeated Utah with 119-111. Derrick White led the Spurs with 24 points. With one seeding game remaining, the San Antonio Spurs face a must-win situation in order to continue their season.

Utah Jazz Preview

Jazz dropped their third straight and fell into the 2-5 points mark after they blew a 22 point second-half lead against the Mavericks in their last match. According to Winners and Whiners, they led by 8 after one quarter, by 14 at the half and 78-56 in the third quarter before things unraveled. If the Jazz beat the Spurs they would jump into the fifth-seed, barring a victory from the Oklahoma City Thunder in either of their final two games. "We're going to have to at least have the option and the potential to get to the bench in some crucial minutes and that's going to be important for us," Jazz coach Quin Snyder told ESPN.

Explaining that how his team is getting better with each passing game, Utah Jazz player Joe Ingles told Salk Lake Tribune, “Obviously for us, you want to be playing the best possible and be healthy. I think from Game 1 to Game 7, we’ve got a lot better,” “I think we played some really good halves, some really good games, good quarters. Obviously, against Denver, executing down the stretch in some tight situations — it was a really good game for us to be in," he added.
