Huge quantity of IMFL and DIC liquor seized

CHURACHANDPUR, June 16 -- In what is considered to be one of the largest seize of this year, Churachandpur police today seized a huge quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Distilled Illicit Country (DIC) liquor from different parts of the town.

The drive was undertaken by the new SP of Churachandpur, Amrita Sinha, and the seized liquors included 1518 full bottles, 174 half bottles and 226 quarter bottles of IMFL; 41 glass bottles of beer and 148 cans of beer along with 54 full bottles and 185 half bottles of DIC liquor or local wine. The seized items were also displayed for the media in front of Ccpur-PS.

Police sources said that they will dispose the consignments next week while also mentioning that due to the multiple brands and varieties of the liquors seized today, the total price of the seized items cannot be ascertained as of now. "Anti-liquor drives will continue in the future at Churachandpur town," they added.
