With the Call of Duty League (CDL) set to return to action this Friday, Activision and company have announced the list of names making up the team of hosts, casters and analysts that will be featured for the league's third year of competitive play.

Here's a breakdown of the CDL broadcast's talent lineup for the league's first in-person event of the year.

  • Thomas "Chance" Ashworth (Caster)
  • Miles Ross (Caster)
  • Landon "LandO" Sanders (Caster)
  • Jeremy "StuDyy" Astacio (Caster)
  • Alyssa "Allycxt" Parker (Analyst)
  • Anthony "NAMELESS" Wheeler (Analyst)
  • Josiah "Slacked" Berry (Guest Analyst)
  • Guy "Blaze" Spencer (Stage Host)
  • Loviel "Velly" Cardwell (Desk Host)

As shown by the CDL's surprise Tweet thread announcement Wednesday evening, returning to grace the mics for the league's preseason event are several faces from last year's lineup: Chance, Miles Ross, LandO, StuDyy, and NAMELESS.

Additionally, as announced on Jan. 6, Allycxt will move from last year's Challengers Elite crew to join the main broadcast as well.

After explaining his decision to forgo competing in Challengers to focus on Warzone content creation, it appears Slacked will also be donning an analyst hat for the first time this weekend.

Lastly, with the departures of Lottie Van-Praag and Jess Brohard, it seems fellow broadcast vets Velly and Blaze will be picking up where they left off on the desk and stage hosting duties, respectively.

The elephant in the room, however, remains the absence of prominent Call of Duty casting duo Clint "Maven" Evans and Joe "MerK" Deluca.

For the second year in a row, it appears Maven and MerK will be skipping the CDL Kickoff Classic broadcast because of contract negotiations.

While there's certainly still time for both personalities to join for the Call of Duty League season after this weekend, it seems Maven and MerK will remain focused on content and freelance work for now, with Activision seemingly leaving them in the dark at the moment.

The CDL 2022 Kickoff Classic is set to begin at Esports Stadium Arlington on Friday, Jan. 21.
