The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) on Monday declared the result of Class 12 exams .

Students who have appeared in the exam can check their results at hpbose.org

Out of 95,492 students who appeared, 58,949 passed, which is a pass percentage of 62.01%. The number of students who have got compartment is 16,102.

Out of 49, 136 male candidates who appeared, 28,375 passed. Out of 45,784 female candidates, 30, 574 passed.

Girls have performed better than boys in arts and commerce, while boys have excelled in science. Ashmita Sharma has topped the arts stream by scoring 96.4 % marks, while Sakshi Thakur stood second at 96% and Kartikeya Koshal stood third at 95.8%.

Priety Birsanta has topped commerce stream with 98.8% marks, while Ishita Aggarwal stood second at 98.4% and Dikshu Sharma stood third at 97.6%.

Anil Kumar has topped science stream at 98.6%, while Prakriti Thakur, Saanvi Sankhyan and Jeevesh Awasthi stood joint second at 98.2% and Shubhangni came third at 98%.

Govt schools fair better than private schools. A total of 31 students are in merit list from government schools, while 27 students of private schools make it to the merit list.

HPBose Class 12 exams were conducted from March 6 to March 29.

Board had set up total 1980 examination centres across the state for regular candidates. Around 10,000 employees were engaged in the examination duties. To curb mass copying all the examination centres were equipped with Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras.

Last year, 98,281 students had appeared in the examinations, out of which 68.621 passed, while another 15,785 had to reappear in one subject. The pass percentage was 70.18%.
