THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA: As police pay a visit to her home, Britney Spears slammed her concerned fans for invading her privacy. The 41-year-old pop icon, who recently deleted her Instagram account, complained on Twitter about protecting her privacy and how she felt like she was being "gaslit" and "bullied."

Notably, a day before fans called the police asking for a welfare check on Britney Spears who reportedly deactivated her Instagram account seven times in less than a year. Deputies from the sheriff's office then went to her home and determined there was no reason to believe she was in danger.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday 26 January, the Toxic singer lashed out at the fans who made the police visit her home and said, "As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded."

She continued to reveal that though, "the police never entered my home, and when they came to my gate they realized there was no issue and left immediately." The police coming to the gate made the pop singer feel "gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in poor and unfair light by media." She expressed, "During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B."

"Those are not fans. They are obsessive psychos who think they have the right to be privy to every detail of your life. You don’t owe anything to anyone," a fan wrote in support of Britney. Another added, "love you. so sorry this happened." Many more said that they loved her and felt sorry. one wrote, "If anyone deserves peace, it’s you."

Andy Signore wrote, "So sick of TikTok theories & so-called "fans" always criticizing & refusing to let you live your life... I know folks are worried due to how extreme #TeamCon was & what they made you do. But we have to trust you to make your own decisions now that you're free. Love you Britney!" One user tried to clarify that a real and would never do that, "Britney WE love you so much! I hope you know that your REAL fans would have never done this! We respect you wholeheartedly queen and just want the best for you." Another seconded the thought by saying, "Britney we love you so much true fans would never think to impede on your privacy like that, I’m so sorry."
