Julia Roberts’ niece, Hollywood actor Emma Roberts is likely to replace British actor Daisy Edgar Jones in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming historical drama RRR. The Baahubali director reportedly met with Roberts in the US and is in talks with the actor for a role as Jr NTR’s love interest.
Set in the 1920s, RRR is a fictional account about two bravehearts, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who fought against the British. The film stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Samuthikarani. The makers announced Daisy Edgar Jones’ departure from the project in April, with the actor citing “family circumstances” as a reason for her exit.
Ram Charan appears to have had an unlucky run while filming RRR. The actor injured himself while shooting in Pune. He resumed shooting in Hyderabad a little later only have another accident while shooting for a song with Jr NTR. He reportedly slipped and fell off a platform and sustained a minor injury. The incident, however, is unlikely affect the film’s schedule.
RRR will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and is set to hit theatres on 30 July, 2020. This could lead to a potential clash between Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor’s Shamsher.
