The ministry further stated, “3.34 lakh PPE coveralls are available with hospitals in the country. Another 3 lakh donated coveralls being received from abroad by 4 April. Eleven domestic producers of PPE coveralls have qualified so far and orders for 21 lakh have been placed on them.”
“They are supplying 6-7,000 pieces per day and are expected to go up to 15,000 per day by mid-April. One more domestic manufacturer has qualified today and is being given orders for 5 lakh PPE coveralls,” said Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, reported ANI.

Coronavirus: SC Staff to Donate up to 3 Days' Salary to PM-CARES Fund
The officials and staff of the Supreme Court registry have decided to donate up to three days' salary to the PM-CARES fund in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, reported PTI.
According to a circular issued by Registrar (cash and accounts) Rajesh Kumar Goel, all gazetted officers will donate three days' salary, non-gazetted employees will donate two days' salary and group "C" employees will donate one day's salary to the Prime Minister Citizens' Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM CARES) fund.

Congested Dwelling Hastened COVID-19 Spread in Sangli Family
The 25 coronavirus patients reported from one family at Sangli in Maharashtra were found to be living in a congested set up, which might have led the infection to spread fast among them, officials said, reported PTI.
Initially, four family members who returned from Saudi Arabia tested positive for coronavirus on 23 March. Within a week of it, 21 more family members, including a two-year-old boy, were found to have contracted the infection.

President Donald Trump said on Sunday the peak death rate in the US from the novel coronavirus is likely to hit in two weeks as he extended the coronavirus guidelines, including social distancing, until 30 April.
Assuring his countrymen that he expects the United States to be on its way to recovery by 1 June, Trump told reporters at a televised White House news conference that he had to extend the social distancing measures till 30 April, based on the advice from his two top public health advisors and members of the White House Task Force on Coronavirus: Dr Deborah Bix and Dr Anthony Fauci.

Coronavirus: China Reports 4 Deaths, 31 New Cases
China has reported 31 new cases of coronavirus including 30 imported ones while the death toll reached 3,304 with four more fatalities, health officials said on Monday.
The country's National Health Commission (NHC) in its daily report said 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland were reported on Sunday, of which 30 were imported, taking their total number to 723, PTI reported.
New York State Surpasses 1,000 Coronavirus Deaths
New York state's death toll from the coronavirus outbreak climbed on Sunday above 1,000, less than a month after the first known infection in the state.

Telangana Will Be Coronavirus-Free By 7 April: KCR
Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday said there are 70 coronavirus cases in the state while 11 have been cured and tested negative and they shall be discharged on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference, he said, “All the necessary diagnosis is done and the patients are being discharged after the formalities. Fifty-eight people are under treatment.”
He added, “After 7 April, there will be no coronavirus patients if no new cases are reported from now. Self-control is very important in this lockdown period,” reported ANI.

US Reports 518 New COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours
The US recorded 518 new novel coronavirus-linked deaths in the span of 24 hours, according to data published Sunday by Johns Hopkins University.
