Grand alliance announces pact on seats, RJD to contest 20 seats, Congress 9By uniindia
Patna, Mar 22 (UNI) Grand Alliance in Bihar on Friday announced a deal on the distribution of Lok Sabha seats among its allies under which Rashtriya Janata Dal would contest 20 constituencies, Indian National Congress nine, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party five and Hindustani Awam Morcha and Vikshshil Insan Party three each.
The combine also declared names of candidates for four seats going to polls on April 11 in the first phase of the polls.

RJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Manoj Jha and state party president Ramchandra Purve told newspersons here that one Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) candidate would contest Lok Sabha election on its ticket.
They said the Loktantrik Janata Dal patron and former Union minister Sharad Yadav would contest election on RJD ticket even as LJD would be merged with RJD after the election.
Mr Jha said that Bhudeo Chaudhary would contest Lok Sabha election from Jamui on RLSP ticket, Vibha Devi (wife of incarcerated suspended RJD MLA Raj Ballabh Yadav) from Nawada on RJD ticket, HAM chief and former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi from Gaya and Upendra Prasad from Aurangabad on HAM ticket.
He said that that any Rajya Sabha falling vacant in future in Bihar would be contested by a Congress leader from grand alliance.
Ahead of announcement of the seat distribution, Grand Alliance leaders held a meeting at former chief minister Rabri Devi`s residence in the state capital.
The combine's top leaders –Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav, RLSP chief and former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha and HAM chief Jeetan Ram Manjhi skipped the press meet triggering various sorts of speculation in political circles.
