'Main Bhi Maa Ban Gaya' - What does the play convey?By HTS

India, Sept. 23 -- Men and women are all equal and that's what the Hindi play Main Bhi Maa Ban Gaya portrayed. The play was performed here on Friday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum under its regiular theatre series 'Abhinayan'.

The play was directed by Sunil Raj. The story of this drama, starts with the family and surrounds the life of the family members.

The grandfather of this family is known for his fearlessness and cleverness. But in the pursuit of his cleverness, he created a blunder in his son Ghanshyam's life. In his will he transfers all the property to Ghanshaym's unborn son. The grandfather, however dies.

With the promise of carrying Yamalok after five years, Yamraja leave the soul of Dadda on the sacred fig, due to accidental death. He leaves the soul and leaves. Back there at home, Ghanshyam is blessed with three daughters. Ghanshyam is happy with his family, but the problem created by of Dadda becomes a huge trouble for him and his family as he could not claim his father's property.

He prays to the god for a son. A new twist in the drama comes when Ghanshyam becomes pregnant that adds fun in the play. . The hilarious fillers by other characters were also well received by the audience as the intense concept was explained to the audience in a very comic manner.

Director of the play Sunil Raj says that through this play, he wanted to spread awareness about the equality of boys and girls in society. Besides, he wanted to let people understand what a woman goes through when she is conceiving a baby.

"The play showcases about the cruel mentality of the society which prevails even today. Comically we have moulded the story to let the audience realise about struggles faced by daughters."
