Two girls have been 'violated' in separate incidents in Kalkini and Sadar upazilas of Madaripur district, reports UNB.

In Kalkini upazila, a mentally-unstable young girl was raped by a man at Sastal village on Monday, said Badrul Alam, additional superintendent of police.

He said neighbour Alamgir Gharami took the girl to a nearby garden and violated her there.

In Sadar upazila, a Class-I student of Balaichar village, was violated by Nirob Sardar, 19, son of Faruk Sardar, in an isolated place adjacent to the Balaichar Golap Kha Government Primary School on Sunday.

The minor girl was admitted to the Sadar Hospital and a case was filed in this regard, said Ishtiak Ahmed, inspector (operations) of Sadar police station.
