BUTUAN CITY – The regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) based here on Thursday has prepared 18,000 family food packs (FFPs) worth P6,530,183.70 as part of the preparations for relief augmentation to families in Caraga region which could be affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The said FFPs were being prepositioned in the six strategic warehouses in the provinces in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region.

“These FFPs are ready for distribution to the concerned different local government units (LGUs), if needed,” stressed DSWD 13 Regional Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim.

At least 14,000 FFPs have also been prepared in this region’s premier and capital city of Butuan.

Some of the FFPs were already prepositioned in Surigao City in Surigao del Norte, San Jose in the province of Dinagat Islands (PDI), Tandag City in Surigao del Sur, Prosperidad in Agusan del Sur, and in Dapa, Siargao Islands, Surigao del Norte.
