We should take resolve to make Bihar a prosperous state: NitishBy uniindia
Patna, Aug 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today exhorted people to take resolve to make Bihar a prosperous state and stressed on the need for executing all schemes under his government`s 7-point resolve within a stipulated time frame.
Unfurling tricolour on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day at the historic Gandhi Maidan here, Mr Kumar said Bihar had made tremendous progress ever since the formation of his government and called upon people to take a resolve to make Bihar a prosperous status on the national map.
He said that the government besides taking major development initiatives for speedy growth of the state had also launched several social reforms programmes.
CM said the government is also taking several measures to increase greenery in the state as ‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali’ mission has been launched for the purpose and held developed countries responsible for climate change.
He said the government was aware of challenges created by environmental degradation and said his government was taking several measures to deal with them.
Mr Kumar said that the state government had taken special care to improve health infrastructure in the state.
Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) would be upgraded to the 5400-bed hospital while two Patna based-Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) and Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences would be upgraded to the 2500-bed hospital each.
Similarly, Anugrah Narain Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya would be upgraded to 1500-bed hospital.
