The San Francisco 49ers, for reasons we still don't understand, let veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders walk in free agency.

Of course, the two-time Pro Bowler signed with the New Orleans Saints, who are arguably San Fran's biggest threat in the NFC.

Luckily for the Niners, they are perfectly positioned to address their glaring need at WR in this year's draft. However, general manager John Lynch is as audacious as any executive in the NFL, and he better not think about passing on a wideout with the No. 13 overall pick to draft TCU star Jalen Reagor later on.

This isn't us calling Reagor a slouch, either. The former Horned Frog registered over 2,240 yards and 22 touchdowns across three seasons in Forth Worth.

Those numbers speak volumes to Reagor's talent, but he just isn't on the same level as a Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, or Henry Ruggs, who are labeled cant-miss prospects by most draft scouts.

Further, the track record of TCU receivers in the NFL -- Josh Doctson, Kolby Listenbee, Josh Boyce, and Jeremy Kerley, to name a few -- isn't great.

At 5-11, 195 pounds, Reagor boasts the textbook measurables for a WR in Kyle Shanahan's offense, and we sincerely hope, for the sake of the 49ers, that they don't let that fact blind them into thinking they should pass on a wideout with the No. 13 overall pick.

There's no reason to overthink this. Drafting one of Jeudy, Lamb, or Ruggs is the only way forward for San Francisco.
