The Dallas Cowboys had a brutal first two and a half quarters on Sunday, as they found themselves down 31-10 to the Green Bay Packers. Late in the third, quarterback Dak Prescott hit wide receiver Amari Cooper on a deep pass, which was ruled incomplete by the on-field official. Head coach Jason Garrett was livid, and decided to challenge the play. Well, Gronk spiking a challenge flag might be an awesome way to state your intent to review a play, but if you do it while angrily staring down a referee, he might retaliate with a flag of his own.

Garrett won the challenge, but ended up costing his team 15 yards for the emphatic throw of the red flag.

And with as much force as Garrett spiked his flag into the dirt, the ref responded with even more as he tossed the flag high into the air for all to see.

A simultaneous win and loss.
