REPORT: Wolves Got Shot Down in Jimmy Butler-for-Bradley Beal Trade TalksBy 12Up

Jimmy Butler finally got the trade he wanted from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he's found himself a nice fit in Philadelphia.

According to multiple reports, however, a very different trade was shot down -- one that reportedly involved swapping Jimmy Butler and Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

Oh man do we wish we could've seen that. Overall, the trade would be a relatively even one, though Beal is a bit younger and is under contract for longer. The real fun is imagining the locker room of the Wizards with John Wall, Jimmy Butler and Dwight Howard in it. Talk about some big personalities.

The Wizards are clearly struggling so far this season, and adding Jimmy Butler to the mix would've made for some more spicy drama. But it was simply not meant to be.

The Timberwolves may have been shot down in the trade talks with Washington, but they eventually found themselves a nice deal for Butler. He wanted out, and they got some great pieces in return for him.

Things continue to look very bad for the Wizards, and there was no way they would be willing to give up Beal just yet. For now, they'll just continue to be awful with him.
