India, Sept. 23 -- While the government was busy celebrating 1000 successful days of stable, transparent and development-oriented governance in Dumka in presence of Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday, the united opposition leaders came forward accusing the BJP-led government of wasting public money, failing at every possible front and misguiding people of the State.

Leader of Opposition in State Assembly and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren who succeeded in bringing other opposition leaders of Congress, RJD CPI, CPM and others together on one platform yet again for the occasion tossed as many as 32 questions to the government, saying that the Das government had only deceived locals of the State during last 1,000 days. He also said that the unity of opposition was going to stay there now onwards to protect interests of people in State in days to come.

"From CNT/SPT Amendment Bill to Momentum Jharkhand and from Anti-Evangelism Act to domicile policy, the government has proved that it is a government of industrialists working for promoting interests of few people. Incidents of gang rape, bitch hunting, hunger death, mob lynching and cow vigilantism are on rise, youth of the State remain jobless, hundreds of kids have died of malnutrition, scholarships of SC/ST students have been curbed and there is mass disappointment all around in the State. If it was really a good government, people must be on roads to celebrate 1,000 days and not the government," charged Soren.

JPCC president Sukhdev Bhagat criticized the government, saying that party leaders Yogendra Sao and sitting MLA Nirmala Devi were victims of political vendetta, as the government didn't want its flaws to come in public. "Anyone can see that the government has failed miserably on law and order, health, education and electricity fronts. Government is busy singing honesty song and Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials are busy catching corrupt officials. Government brings Anti-Evangelism Bill, but has no records as to how many such cases have taken place. Irony is that even State Rehabilitation Commission has not been formed yet for proper rehabilitation of land losing people," said Bhagat.

CPI leader KD Singh, at the same time, expressed concerns over few concerns raised by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India in its latest reports about government and few of its departments. "The CAG report has raised grave concerns related to the corruption in many departments, but government is silent on those. There are no teachers in schools, no doctors in hospitals and government is wasting crores of public money on its image building," accused Singh.
