Melania Trump redecorated the entire White House solarium because she "wasn't a fan" of the color palette chosen by her predecessor, her unauthorized biography claimed.

In her explosive book 'Free Melania,' former CNN journalist Kate Bennett claimed that the first lady erased almost all traces of the Obama-era decor as she went to great lengths and expense to transform the solarium, located on the third floor of the White House’s private quarters.

“She had it redecorated when she moved in, as she wasn’t a fan of the beige and burnt orange palette the Obamas’ decorator, Michael S. Smith, had done the room in. Melania kept very little of the Obama decor, which the Obamas reportedly paid for out of pocket, to the tune of $1.5 million by the end of their eight years in the White House," an excerpt from the biography read, the Daily Express reported.

The solarium is reportedly was always a favorite of the previous occupants of the White House. The mother-of-one added her own touch to the White House section immediately after her husband became the POTUS.

“For the solarium, as is typical of Melania’s aesthetic, most of the furniture is white and warm, the artwork traditional, and the vide luxe comfort. She has showcased the most stunning part of the room, the view, by not distracting from it with gaudy furnishings and too many knickknacks. The room’s massive windows look out to the south all the way past the Washington Monument and beyond; you can even see the Reagan National Airport in the distance," she said.

In the book, Bennett reaffirmed rumors that Donald Trump and Melania slept in separate rooms of the White House. While Trump resided in his master bedroom on the second floor, Melania stayed in a two-room mini apartment, on the third floor - which was earlier occupied by Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson.
