Anil Kapoor & Jackie Shroff to Play Cop Duo in Subhash Ghai FilmBy TheQuint

30 years after Ram Lakhan, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff are set to play cops once more in Subhash Ghai’s upcoming film, reports Mumbai Mirror. According to a source quoted by the publication, the film is a crime comedy titled Ramchand Kishanchand and is expected to go on floors in the coming months. Anil and Jackie reportedly play a pair of 50-year-old police officers in the film.

While an official announcement is yet to be made, Jackie Shroff offered a cryptic comment saying “It’s always a ‘yes’ for a Subhash Ghai film.”

Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff has co-starred in films such as Parinda (1989), Andar Bahar (1984) and Kabhi Na Kabhi (1998). The actors played brothers who are police officers in Subhash Ghai’s 1991 drama Ram Lakhan. Jackie Shroff portrays a righteous cop while Anil’s character gives into corruption for personal gain in the film.

Jackie Shroff was last seen playing Salman Khan’s father in Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat. The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Tabu and releases on 5 June. Anil Kapoor last featured in Total Dhamaal, the third instalment of the successful Dhamaal franchise. The film stars an ensemble cast of Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Mishra, Boman Irani, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Javed Jaffrey.
