Don't Sleep on Josh Reddick's Incredible Start to the 2019 SeasonBy 12Up

It's easy to overlook players who get off to fast starts in April. Oftentimes their success gets chalked up to small sample sizes and people write off the player as a true breakout candidate.

But if there's one player you're going to buy into this year, let it be Houston Astros outfielder Josh Reddick.

The man is off to a scorching hot start in the early going of the 2019 season, and there's no reason to think that he's going to slow down.

He has three home runs to his name thus far, and his .970 OPS is just one point behind Alex Bregman for the team's best. However, the craziest part about all of this is that there might even be room for him to get better.

Through 75 plate appearances this year, Reddick's strikeout rate is just a hair shy of 10%, by far the lowest mark of his career. Couple that with a hard-hit rate close to 31% and Reddick is on track to have an even better year than he did back in 2017.

He's hitting the ball and he's hitting it well. And while he may be overshadowed by some of the Stros' more prominent stars, don't let preconceived notions twist things around for you. Josh Reddick is here to rake in 2019.
