My wife my rock has endured pain, disappointment, regrets in her past and so many highs and lows but the courage Candice has shown in recent months is a testament to the qualities she has as a mother, person, friend and wife. Candice had suffered a miscarriage after the ball-tampering scandal erupted in South Africa.

Warner was involved in an acrimonious tour of South Africa where he was banned for a year by Cricket Australia for his role in the ball-tampering row. Steve Smith also received a one-year ban while Cameron Bancroft was banished for nine months.

Things heated up in Durban when Warner alleged that South African keeper Quinton de Kock had insulted his wife during the first Test. Candice informed recently in an interview that the couple had miscarried their third child.

"I hoped the terrible stuff was behind us. We love Cape Town and it's where Dave proposed to me in 2014. I was beginning to feel that first stage of being pregnant - the subtle changes to my body were kicking in. We were overwhelmed, knowing another little Warner was on the way," Candice told Women's Weekly.

"I don't think either of us realised how much we longed for this baby. We had been trying since last July and I did a Test when we first got to Cape Town," she added.

David and Candice are parents to two daughters - Ivy Mae(3) and Indi Rae(2), as the 33-year-old professional ironwoman, surf life saver and model revealing that they were welcoming a third child.

Warner, handed a one year ban by Cricket Australia, said at the press conference that he had resigned to the idea that he might not play for Australia ever again.

"I called Dave to the bathroom and told him I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried...The miscarriage was a heartbreaking end to a horror tour. The ordeal from the public humiliations to the ball tapering had taken its toll," she revealed.

Candice had earlier blamed herself for her husband's involvement in the ball-tampering scandal, saying that the incident was "killing" her.

Warner had broken down during a press conference and asked for forgiveness as an emotional Candice watched from the back of the room.

"I feel like it's all my fault and it's killing me -- it's absolutely killing me," Candice Warner was earlier quoted by Sydney's Sunday Telegraph.

Warner was hounded with flashlights and probing microphones, when he landed in Australia on return from South Africa, as he reasoned with the crowd present saying that he was with his wife and two daughters.

"I never want to do a 'poor me' story or anything like that whatsoever. But Dave would come home from the game and see me in tears in the bedroom, and the girls just looking at their mum, it's been heartbreaking," she had said.
