'NOS4A2' Season 2 Episode 8: [Spoiler's] death breaks hearts, fans say they saw it coming and can't get over itBy Meaww

Spoilers for 'NOS4A2' Season 2 Episode 'Chris McQueen'

This episode was definitely an intense one, titled 'Chris McQueen,' it shows us who exactly Vic McQueen's (Ashleigh Cummings) father is and how he came to be a hero. Yes, we lost Chris (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) in the most horrific way thanks to the evil Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto). Fans couldn't help but shed a few tears for the man who was trying to help his daughter find her son. It was devastating to see him killed by Manx, the villain that the entire McQueen family was now hell-bent on killing and for good reason. We lost a character that in recent episodes played a vital role in Vic's life and fans just can't get over it.

The beginning of the episode showed Chris McQueen giving the eulogy when his father had passed years ago and while many fans weren't expecting it, it foreshadowed his own death at the end of the episode. That scene though not only showcases excellent acting but definitely excellent scriptwriting as well. "Wow... what a powerful flashback eulogy. I almost cried. Powerful scene with actor playing Chris McQueen. #NOS4A2," wrote a fan. Although Chris was not a great father to Vic when she was young as he was an intense alcoholic, he had completely turned his life around. "@NOS4A2 No No No, Chris McQueen !!! He tried to turn things around...#NOS4A2 ," wrote another fan. Another added, "Why yaaa gotta do my mans like that ?!!! Noooooo not papa McQueen #NOS4A2."

Some fans caught the many sighs in the episode that one character at least was going to lose their lives. "Ugh, sometimes I hate it when my predictions are right. I’m not shocked by how this episode ended due to all of the death flags scattered throughout the ep, but that doesn’t make it any less sad. Poor Chris. #NOS4A2," wrote one fan with another adding, "My heart just broke into thousands of irreparable shards. #NOS4A2 #ChrisMcQueen."

Yet another fan added, "I saw it coming, I saw it coming and I'm crying anyway. DAMN IT, CHRIS!! #Nos4a2" At the end of the episode, as Vic tried to defeat Manx and all of Chris' bombs failed to hurt the Wraith, he jumped in front of the Wraith so his daughter wouldn't be killed. Another fan wrote, "Chris made his final act a heroic one. He gave up his life so his daughter could live to fight another day and save her son. But being told he was a failure of a father as Vic watches him die...there are no words. Farewell, Chris McQueen. #NOS4A2." he died without being able to actually help his daughter and grandson but he did fix the Triumph and did try to make amends with his daughter. "Can't believe they killed off Chris *without* him saving Wayne. #NOS4A2," wrote another fan.

Fans said goodbye to possibly the only actor that could have pulled off Chris McQueen. "Unreal. This weeks episode was just unreal. I can’t get over how incredible this series is. I’m upset there are six days separating me from the next episode. @EbonChe, you have been a true blessing to watch. #NOS4A2," wrote a fan. Another user said, "#NOS4A2 @EbonChe thank you for playing such an amazing character. It’s been 20 minutes and I have yet to stop crying.... gonna take a while to recover from this episode."

'NOS4A2' Season 2 episodes air on Sundays at 10 pm ET on AMC.
