SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk has slammed the New York Times for not covering how Twitter executives were urged by Joe Biden's staff to delete tweets relating to the damaging contents of Hunter Biden's laptop. He called it a "lobbying firm for far-left politicians."

The attack was in response to a tweet from radio host Clay Travis, who had posted on Saturday, December 3, that, “There is not one single article about @elonmusk or the @twitter email release last night on @nytimes app this morning.” To which Musk replied by saying, “That is because The New York Times has become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for far-left politicians.”

While Travis continued to call out other outlets as well. He wrote, "The @washingtonpost, which literally has “Democracy dies in darkness” at the top of its paper: not one single article about @elonmusk or @twitter’s email release last night. How is this possible @JeffBezos? Do you own a newspaper or a propaganda rag?" In a follow-up tweet, he said, "Remember one of the biggest, if not the biggest, powers of media is deciding which stories to cover. If you just read @nytimes & @washingtonpost, as tens of millions do, you’d have no idea about last night’s news on this site. The vast majority of Americans don’t use Twitter."

On the other hand, netizens were quick to bash Musk for slamming the outlet. One wrote, "You’re off the deep end. You label everything left of Ye as far left. Check your standpoint every now and then." Another said, "Just as Twitter has become an unregistered lobbying firm for far right politicians." One more backed it by saying, "And you @elonmusk have become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for the far right politicians. Congrats." While a user wrote, "Seems like you are looking to become unregistered lobbyist for the far right! The Fox News of social media. We’ll see how it all ends."
