Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was simply amazing at the start of the season. He looked like the best quarterback in the NFL, and that mega contract extension he was seeking seemed well-deserved.

But, Prescott's fist three opponents were the New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins. Anyone could've looked like a $40 million quarterback against them.

In the two weeks following, Prescott has lost to the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, and his numbers just haven't been there. Of course, his history against above .500 teams shows that he was bound to regress.

Yeah, those are certainly alarming numbers, particularly the turnover rate. Prescott has 18 turnovers in 14 games against good teams, proving that when the competition elevates, his play does the opposite.

On Sunday against Green Bay, Prescott threw for 463 yards and had two touchdowns, but he had three interceptions and, astonishingly, he had zero yards on third down.

Yeah. ZERO.

Based on those stats, it's certainly a hard sell to say that Prescott is worthy of a $40 million annual contract, and if we're being frank, even $30 million per year sounds a bit pricey for a guy who falters in the limelight.
