The new crew in Columbus continues to grow.
With Ryan Day taking overfor Urban Meyer as the new head coach, his first order of business was to fill out his staff. We saw some surprises, including the departure of Greg Schiano and Alex Grinch, while the next era of Ohio State coaching began to take shape.
The dust has now finally settled and we know Ohio State's defensive staff thanks to the addition of Matt Barnes, who will also take over as the special teams coordinator and assistant secondary coach.
Barnes coached for Maryland the last three seasons, assisting with both the special teams and the linebackers.
He'll take over the latter for the Buckeyes while assisting with defensive backs, joining Greg Mattison, Jeff Hafley and Al Washingtonas new arrivals for this defensive staff.
With the recruiting dead period over on Friday, Day has his unit ready to go, as a new era for Ohio State football gets ready to star
