Bengaluru, June 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members led by its State President B S Yeddyurappa, who is also the Opposition Leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, today launched a 48 hour day and night agitation in front of Gandhi bust at Maurya Circle in the City today.

Addressing the party leaders and workers, Yeddyurappa alleged that the Congress-JDS Coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has totally failed to deliver goods.
The State government has decided to sell more than 3000 acres of land to Jindal Steel Works (JSW) in Bellari against the interests of people. “Though Kumaraswamy has assured to rethink about the decision taken by the Cabinet, the State government should officially withdraw its decision. BJP will not rest until official notification was released,” he added.
Yeddyurappa alleged that the much publicized loan waiver is yet to be implemented. “Kumaraswamy is trying to take shelter alleging that the it was failure on the part of Commercial Banks which had not credited or withdrawn the credit amount from the bank account of farmers. But the fact is that no farmer has received the money”, he added.
The former Chief Minister alleged that the State government has failed to handle the severe drought situation prevailing in many parts and farmers are left to suffer due shortage of drinking water and there is no availability of fodder for live stocks.
Addressing the protestors, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa came down heavily on the State government for allowing IMA Jewellers promoter Mansoor to flee from the country despite it was well aware that thousands of investors were cheated to the tune of crores of rupees.
Taking strong exception to CLP leader Siddaramaiah’s direction to Congress MLA Roshan Baig to go to SIT formed to investigate into IMA fraud instead of going to Media, Eshwarappa questioned why he (Siddaramaiah) is not telling Minister Zamir Ahmed, who is countering Roshan Baig’s truths.
“Both Roshan Baig and Zamir Ahmed should be arrested in connection with IMA scam to bring out truth whether they are also involved or not. This government will sell even Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat if they get good commission,” he added.
Former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok, several BJP Lok Sabha members, party Legislators, among others are participating in the agitation.
