Sri Reddy kicked up a hornet's nest after she decided to go topless, to protest against the existence of the casting couch in the Telugu film industry. She also accused several prominent filmmakers and producers, of trying the same with her.

The protests have finally seemed to have yielded some results. The Telangana government has come forward to take measures to stop the exploitation of women in the film industry.

The government has ordered the Film Development Corporation to form a special body to monitor the issues of casting couch, according to a report published in Behindwoods.

The organisation will hear the problems of actresses and will take necessary action.

The report further added that a meeting was organised for the implementation of such a body. T Srinivas Yadav (Minister for Cinematography), Movie Artists Association President Shivaji Raja, Jeevitha Rajasekhar and C Kalyan were among many others who attended the meeting.

It is also said that Pawan Kalyan was the one to ask MAA and Telugu Film Chambers to bring a solution to the issue and end the controversy immediately.
