If the MLB wants to pick a new star to gravitate around, Alex Bregman seems like a good choice. He's personable, smart, and is coming into his own as a dominant third baseman. He also might have a future as an analyst, as the Houston Astros slugger went to YouTube to break down his first home run in Spring Training.

Pretty cool insight into what it takes to crush a pitch to dead center.

After coming up in the shadow of Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa, the 24-year-old exploded last season, cranking 82 extra base hits (51 doubles, 31 home runs) while driving in 105 runs. He goes into this season with 15/1 odds to win the AL MVP, trailing only Mike Trout, Aaron Judge, and Mookie Betts in that department.

With his speedy recovery from offseason surgery and the fact he's already out there cranking dingers, the Astros may have the 2019 MVP in waiting.
