New father Prince Harry is to travel to Rome next week to play in the annual Sentebale Polo Cup.

Just weeks after welcoming his and Meghan Markle’s first baby, Archie, the Duke of Sussex will travel to Italy to raise money in a charity match, Buckingham Palace said.

The charity game will help to raise funds and awareness for Sentebale, which Harry supports as a patron.

Sentebale was founded by the Duke and Lesotho's Prince Seeiso in 2006 to help the most vulnerable children and young people in southern Africa get the support they need to lead healthy and productive lives.

The match will see Harry play on the Sentebale St Regis team captained by Sentebale Ambassador Nacho Figueras, against a US Polo Assn team that will be captained by Malcolm Borwick.

Prince Harry’s trip comes after he and the Duchess of Sussex introduced their new son to the press.
