Daisy Ridley wants to market lightsaber workouts

Daisy Ridley got an on-set workout wielding her lightsaber while filming Star Wars. The English actress will soon be back for some more intergalactic action in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits cinemas in December (17), two years after first playing Rey in The Force Awakens. While landing a role in Star Wars helped catapult the 25-year-old actress to super stardom, Daisy has also found it's had a positive impact on her physical ability."They're really heavy," Daisy laughed of lightsabers to American Vogue.
"Three, four, five kilos? And the weight's very unevenly distributed."You do, like, eight thwacks one way, eight the other, eight up, eight down.
Yeah (they should open) lightsaber school!"Daisy first saw her body transform while shooting The Force Awakens, but because her casting was a secret, she had to keep the reasons behind her toned arms a secret from everyone."Yes (I trained) for three months, five hours a day," she previously told America's OK! magazine.
"It's weird when you can't tell people what (film) you're doing and they're, like, 'Why are you so muscly?' And I'm, like, 'I'm at the gym, by myself.'"During the Vogue feature on the actress, director J.J.
Abrams explained why he initially chose to cast the then-unknown name in sci-fi's biggest franchise."(In Daisy we found) an emotional person, a true person, a funny-as-hell person, (who was also) almost preternaturally confident.
We needed someone whom you felt like you could know," he listed.
"Who was beautiful but not someone who seemed like they were from another species.
You needed to love her.
Daisy came in, and her face was expressive and wide-eyed and lovely, and it was so clear."
