As skateboarding made its Olympic bow, 13-year-old Sky Brown became Great Britain’s youngest ever summer Olympic medallist with a dramatic bronze medal in the women’s park event.

Hannah Mills has become the most successful female Olympic sailor of all-time after she and partner Eilidh McIntyre took gold in the women’s 470 class.

Heavyweight boxer Frazer Clarke was beaten in his semi-final but does come home with a bronze medal while Ben Whittaker collected silver in his class.

There was also heartache in the heptathlon as world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson pulled up with injury during her 200m race.

Alice Dearing also made history as the first black female swimmer to compete for GB at an Olympics when she took part in the women's 10km open water marathon swimming race.

Expect excitement in the men’s 200m final and the men’s 800m final looks wide open.
