The Pro Football Hall of Fame righted two wrongs in its 2020 class by putting in deserving head coaches Bill Cowher and Jimmy Johnson. One coach from their era still sits outside Canton's doors looking in, however.

For former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Chad Brown, he's still stumped as to why Mike Holmgren has yet to be inducted in Canton. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Brown details why Holmgren deserves to wear the coveted gold jacket at long last.

"I suppose you want to look at Super Bowls and you want to look at continued, sustained long-term success," said Brown, via SI. "So certainly, the Super Bowl in Green Bay, the couple years of building the Seahawks into what they once became. I think in some ways, yes, Mike Holmgren does qualify for that.

"Does he have the rings and titles that Bill Belichick has? No, he doesn’t. But Bill Cowher only got the one and he’s in the Hall of Fame, so if that’s the criteria that gets you a gold jacket, then Mike Holmgren certainly qualifies."

Brown brings up valid points. While Holmgren doesn't have the ridiculous six Lombardi Trophies that Belichick has, he does have one, and he helped build the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks into sustainable winners. Perhaps most puzzling is that Holmgren does have more impressive career accolades than Cowher, yet doesn't get the same love.

As a head coach for the Packers and Seahawks, Holmgren accumulated a 161-111 win-loss record, a 13-11 playoff record, three NFC championships (1996-97, 2005) and a Super Bowl XXXI title. Meanwhile Cowher has 149 regular season wins, 12 postseason victories, and just two AFC championships.

While it is a bit crazy that Holmgren isn't in the Hall of Fame, rest assured his day will come shortly -- especially if his former players continue to speak up.
