New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) The Congress on Thursday demanded Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation over the 'failure' of National Investigating Agency (NIA) to file a chargesheet against the accused of Pulwama attack, a claim which the NIA has refuted.
"It was an attack on the soul of India. The BJP wasted no time in using that attack to garner votes. They actually shamelessly used the martyrdom of our jawans, pasted their photographs in their election rallies. One year later, the so-called nationalism of the BJP stands exposed. A Delhi court has granted bail to Jaish e Mohammed terrorist Yusuf Chopan, accused of Pulwama attack conspiracy after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) failed to file a charge-sheet", Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said while talking to reporters at party headquarters.
The NIA, however, rejected the media reports and said that the accused Mr Chopan was never arrested in the Pulwama attack case that killed 40 jawan of CRPF February 14, 2019.
