Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday took dig at the BJP-led government in Maharahstra. Kejriwal slammed BJP and RSS for instigating violence between two communities. "What Britishers did in pre-independence era BJP is doing the same," said Kejriwal.
He was on two day tour of state where on Thursday evening he met party workers at Aurangabad and then late evening few local businessmen. On day two of his visit Kejriwal attended the birth anniversary celebration of Jijabai (Mother of King Shivaji) at her birth place Sindkhedraja in Buldana district. Later he addressed a public meeting.
Kejriwal targeted the Fadnavis government for shutting Government run schools in state. He demanded the resignation of Fadnavis for shutting nearly thousand government run schools.
"If they can run schools then how are they going to run the government?" asked Kejriwal. Further he said "Maharashtra is a land of Savitribai and Jyotiba Phule who pioneered the women and Dalit education and started schools for them. But it is sad to see Fadnavis government shutting government run schools in state and asking private companies to run them." Kejriwal gave example of his own government who started new 300 government schools in Delhi in last three years. He said that the government schools in Delhi offer facilities like gym, swimming pool and hockey ground.
Raising issue of electricity in the Maharashtra, Delhi CM alleged that there is a nexus of between people in government and electricity providing companies and the result of that is still Maharashtra is paying high for electricity bills as compare to Delhi. "We did it in Delhi and reduce the electricity rate because there is non-corrupt government in Delhi. But why your government is not doing this? Because they have hand-in-glove with companies which provides electricity," said Kejriwal.
While addressing the rally Kejriwal told people that BJP Government is not pro Farmer. "They will never implement the recommendations of Swaminathan Committee which will help farmers," he said.
Kejriwal requested the gathered crowed to remove BJP Govt in next election and vote for AAP for clean and non corrupt government.
