Alec Baldwin kisses wife Hilaria under the mistletoe days after deleting Twitter accountBy Evening Standard

Alec Baldwin shared a kiss under the mistletoe with his wife Hilaria days after he denied firing the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust.

Hilaria, 37, uploaded a photo on Instagram showing her pulling her husband close in a romantic display.

Alongside the picture, she wrote: “Tis the season.”

Hutchins was shot and killed when a gun held by Baldwin went off during filming for the Western movie in New Mexico on October 21.

Since then, the couple have been spotted on multiple occasions in the Hamptons area of Long Island, New York.

The embattled actor deleted his Twitter account on Monday amid an ongoing investigation into Hutchins’ death and criticism from other celebrities, including George Clooney.

It comes just days after Baldwin gave an emotional interview to ABC News in which he denied pulling the trigger on the handgun before Hutchins’ death.

“I let go of the hammer, bang,” he said. “The gun goes off. Everyone is horrified. They’re shocked. It’s loud.”

Baldwin said that he has been told by police “in the know” that it is “highly unlikely” he will face a criminal charge. He added: “Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who it is, but it’s not me.”

Actor George Clooney last month branded the shooting “insane and infuriating” and said he had always checked personally to see if his props were loaded.

Asked about the Hollywood star’s comments, Baldwin told ABC News: “There were a lot of people who felt it necessary to contribute some comment to the situation, which really didn’t help the situation at all.

“If your protocol is you checking the gun every time, well, good for you. Good for you.”

Hilaria has previously spoken out in support of her husband.

On Friday, she posted a photo from her wedding day on Instagram accompanied by a length message.

She wrote: “I am here, I love you, and I will take care of you.’ These were the only words that came to me when we learned Halyna had died.

“I remember saying that phrase over and over again. The horrific loss, the torture to her family, and you, my husband, somehow put in this unthinkable nightmare.”
