Paris Saint-Germain host RB Leipzig at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening as they look to extend their lead atop Group A.

The French giants may not have yet proven entirely convincing despite an ambitious summer recruitment drive and were perhaps fortunate to come away with a victory over Manchester City last month, though a home game against a Leipzig side out of form offers a real opportunity.

A win here could take them as far as four points above City should Club Brugge manage to spring a surprise in the earlier 17:45pm BST kick-off. When the groups were drawn, that would have seemed somewhat fanciful.

Luckily for them, Lionel Messi makes his comeback to club football after sitting out of Friday night’s Ligue 1 win over Angers following his international excursions with Argentina. Neymar, however, will miss the game with a groin injury he picked up away while with Brazil.

The wait to see Sergio Ramos in a PSG shirt goes on as the Spaniard suffered a set-back amid his attempts to return and Angel Di Maria’s suspension extends into this game too.

Mauro Icardi, meanwhile, has been afforded time off due to personal reasons.

PSG starting XI: Navas, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes, Ander Herrera, Verratti, Gueye, Messi, Mbappé, Draxler.

Tuesday 19th October 8pm BST

Venue: Parc des Princes, Paris.

Injured: Sergio Ramos (calf), Leandro Paredes (thigh), Keylor Navas (muscle), Julian Draxler, Layvin Kurzawa (illness), Mauro Icardi (personal)
