Flights and Trains Delayed as Fog Hampers Air Quality in DelhiBy TheQuint

Dense and fog and bad air quality resulted in several trains and flights being delayed in Delhi on Friday, 18 January.

The dense fog in and around the national capital led to 10 trains being delayed in the morning.

The fog also disrupted flight operations at the Dehli airport, with both arrivals and departures put largely on hold.

SAFAR advised Delhi’s residents to avoid all physical activity outdoors, as the dense fog made the air quality worse.

Avoid prolonged or heavy exertion. Go for a short walk instead of a jog and take more breaks. Stop any activity level if you experience any unusual coughing, chest discomfort, wheezing, breathing difficulty, or fatigue. If the room has windows, close them. If the air conditioner provides a fresh air intake option, keep that closed.”
