India, Sept. 23 -- Talaiya police have arrested a 25-year-old youth for having a scuffle with a police constable and slapping him at Retghat late on Thursday.

Police said that Asif Khan slapped on duty traffic police constable Manoj Dhakad when Dhakad asked him to show documents of motorbike of Asif bearing registration number MP 04-EM-6070 during vehicle checking at Retghat.

Dhakad asked for license and documents of the vehicle which he failed to produce and got irritated over the victim and slapped him. The victim informed Talaiya police and later the accused was nabbed.

After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under Section 353 and 332 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The accused was produced in the court and sent under judicial custody on Friday.

Meanwhile, accused who used to extort money in the name of suspended SHO of Shahjehanabad was nabbed from Berasia road late in the night on Thursday.

The accused identified as Saurabh Shah was involved in extorting money in the name of suspended SHO of Shahjehanabad police.

After receiving several complaints regarding SHO Manish Mishra he was suspended on Wednesday by DIG Santosh Kumar Singh. Shah used to work as informer for Mishra in the past.

Mishra was also allegedly charged with other issues of taking money in different cases to help accused.

He has been posted in different police station in the city for the past three years and complaints have been received in every police station he was deployed.
