MAGAZINE SERVICE PRIVACY policy

Taboola Ltd. ("Taboola", "we", "our" or "us") is committed to your privacy. This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how we collect, use and share information through our Magazine services, which include our Magazine App ("Magazine App") and associated web-based services (such as webpages), as well as through our Magazine software development kit ("SDK") or Magazine API which can be integrated in our own applications, as well as in third party apps or services (collectively "Magazine Service").

Please read our Privacy Policy carefully before installing or using the Magazine App. By downloading or using the Magazine App, you indicated that you understood how we collect, use and disclose your information, including Personal Information, in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please remove or disable the Magazine App.

Please also note that our trusted partners and customers use our Magazine Service to deliver a personalized experience on their mobile applications or online services.

We will collect information regarding the characteristics and activities of end users on such third party mobile applications or online services. This information will be sent to our servers from our Magazine Service (such as the Magazine SDK or Magazine API), which is integrated in an end user's mobile application or the online service the end user is using.

The information we collect through the Magazine App and Magazine Service includes:

 

When you download or access the Magazine Service, we use (and authorize third parties to use) web beacons, cookies, pixel tags, scripts, tags and other technologies ("Tracking Technologies").

The Tracking Technologies allow us to automatically collect information about you and your online behavior, as well as your device (for example your computer or mobile device), in order to enhance your navigation on Magazine Service, improve Magazine Service's performance and customize your experience on Magazine Service. We also use this information to collect statistics about the usage of Magazine Service, perform analytics, deliver content which is tailored to your interests and administer services to our Users, advertisers, publishers, customers and partners.

In addition, we may merge information we have with information collected through Tracking Technologies and with information we may obtain from other sources and, as a result, such information may become Personal Information.

Device settings: For Android devices with OS 2.2 and up and Google Play Services version 4.0 and up, you can opt-out of "Interest Based Ads" through your device setting (open your Google Settings app > Ads > Enable "Opt out of interest-based advertising").

If you've turned on Opt out of interest-based ads on your Android device, you can restore interest-based ads by turning the settings off. When you opt out, you may still see the same number of ads on your mobile device; however, these ads may be less relevant because they won't be based on your interests. Note that we may continue to serve ads not derived from your interests, such as ads related to the content of the application you are using.

If you reside in the EU or in a jurisdiction that affords you with the below rights, you may contact us at any time by email at privacy@taboola.com, and request:

1.       To access any Personal Information relating to you, including receiving supplementary information regarding such use;

2.       To change or update any Personal Information relating to you (for example, if you believe that your Personal Information is incorrect, you may ask to have it corrected or deleted). Note that you may also request that we will correct errors with regard to your Personal Information (except in cases where the information is required to be kept in its original format under any applicable laws and regulations);

3.       To delete your Personal Information;

4.       That we will restrict or cease any further use of your Personal Information;

5.       That we will provide the Personal Information you volunteered to us in a machine-readable format.

6.       To withdraw your consent for any processing activities that relied on your consent.

Your email should include adequate details of your request and you may be further requested to provide additional details in order to authenticate your identity and thereby accommodate your requests.

Please note that these rights are not absolute and requests are subject to any applicable legal requirements. We may also rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion, in accordance with our internal policies.

 

Please note that unless you instruct us otherwise (by emailing us at privacy@taboola.com), we retain the information we collect for as long as needed to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies and agreements.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control (such as the mobile applications that use our Magazine Service), or to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any of the third parties to which we may disclose information as set forth in this Privacy Policy - such as our partners or customers.

Please be sure to review also the privacy policy of our partners associated with the application in question.

Start is not intended for children under the minimum age for providing consent in the jurisdiction they reside in (such as 16 in certain countries in the EU; “Legal Age”), and we do not knowingly obtain personal information from children under the Legal Age without parental consent. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it as quickly as possible. We follow generally accepted industry standards, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards, to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect the information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security or confidentiality. In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third party entity, or in the event of bankruptcy or a comparable event, we reserve the right to transfer or assign information in connection with the foregoing events. In the event of the above, our affiliated companies or acquiring company will assume the rights and obligations as described in this Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to revise or update this Privacy Policy at any time. We may provide notice of substantial changes of this Privacy Policy on Start Any material change will be effective five (7) days following posting the revised Privacy Policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last Updated" heading.
